Our History
Serving women and families since 1984
1984
Three separate pregnancy centers opened in Sharonville, North College Hill, and Clifton with a shared mission to support women facing crisis pregnancies. Though independently operated, all were focused on offering life-affirming care and services.
1988
The Clifton-based center launched its first annual Walk-a-thon at Winton Woods—an event that helped raise awareness and support for their services and continues each year under its new title: Strides for Hope.
1999
The three original centers merged to form Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati and responded to growing needs by relocating to a larger space at 108 William Howard Taft Road in Clifton.
2000
Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati held its first Annual Banquet—an event that continues to inspire and engage the community with the issue of life. Over the years, notable speakers and performers have included NFL legends Mike Singletary and Anthony Muñoz, inspiring authors such as Lee Strobel, Ruth Graham, and Pam Tebow, acclaimed musicians including Natalie Grant, Point of Grace, and Nicole C. Mullen, and national faith leaders like Dr. Tony Evans.
2001
Through the Making Abstinence Possible (MAP) program, Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati reached over 100,000 students across Greater Cincinnati, empowering students to commit to abstinence through thousands of classroom presentations, as well as school assemblies and after-school clubs. At its peak, MAP served 40% of public schools in the region. After participating, surveys revealed a notable increase in students committing to waiting until marriage.
2005
Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati launched the start-up phase of a new Men’s Ministry. The program met the needs of young men in crisis with answers and support for pregnancy-related and parenting needs. Over 50 men were served in the first five months of the program.
2007
Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati launched the Post-Abortion Counseling & Education (PACE) program to offer compassionate care and healing for women and men impacted by abortion. Trained PACE Educators began leading 12-week Bible studies designed to support participants on their journey toward hope and restoration.
2013
The name changed to Life Forward, Pregnancy Care of Cincinnati, accompanied by a new logo—a green and white heart with an arrow, communicating Life Forward’s goal to help women move forward in their lives with hope and purpose.
